Halifax police have charged a 30-year-old man after another man was stabbed in Dartmouth on Friday night.
When police responded to a 911 call in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive at about 9:40 p.m., they found the victim, 26, with a stab wound in his upper chest. Soon afterward, police received another 911 call, reporting a second injured man at a nearby apartment in the 20-40 block of Primrose Street.
As a result of the investigation, that man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, and several weapons-related offences, police said in a news release. "It appears this is not a random occurrence as two males are know to each other."
The suspect will be held for the weekend and appear in provincial court Monday.
