Canadian Red Cross is helping three people forced from their homes by a fire in Sydney Mines on Saturday.

The agency said it is providing emergency accommodations, food and clothing for the three residents of a four-unit apartment house on Huron Avenue.

Those being helped lived in two units of the two-storey building. The other two apartments were not being rented.
