Dylan Blenkhorn has his first win of the Parts For Trucks Pro Stock Tour season, but didn't do too much to slow down Shawn Turple.
Truro's Blenkhorn won Sunday's rain-delayed Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 in James River, taking the checkered flag at Riverside International Speedway ahead of Enfield's Turple by close to four seconds.
Cole Butcher (Porters Lake), Greg Proude (Springvale, P.E.I.) and Josh Collins (Placentia, N.L.) took the next three spots in the 24-car field.
Blenkhorn led 67 laps in a race that only saw two lead changes and three yellow flags.
Collins, Blenkhorn, Antigonish's Donald Chisholm and Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, P.E.I.) won heats to set the starting lineup.
Turple, a former two-time Maritime champion, won the first two races of the season and has a four-point lead over Blenkhorn in the chase for the series crown. Butcher, the reigning champ, is 36 points behind the leader.
The series makes its second stop of the season this Saturday at Scotia Speedworld for a 150-lap feature.
