A rising star in Nova Scotia basketball is headed to the Ottawa Gee-Gees.

Dartmouth's Chase Tynes, the MVP of last summer's Team Nova Scotia win at the Canadian under-17 championships, has committed to the team, according to Ottawa head coach James Derouin.

Tynes is a six-foot-five wing who attends Auburn Drive. At least three other top prospects from Nova Scotia are on Ottawa's radar.

The team already has former Horton standout Gage Sabean on its roster.
